When you work, you get paid. Who owns that pay you just earned? President Barack Obama gave a speech recently at Northern Virginia Community College where he told us who he thinks owns what we earn… With all of the media attention to Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama’s hot microphone with Dmitri Medvedev, the Romney etch-a-sketch comment and the fugazi war on women, there have been far too many distractions to focus on some serious issues that impact our lives now and our futures… Cities all across America are getting dying because of the bloated pensions, benefits and salaries of their unionized government workers. Just look at San Diego, Chicago and Los Angeles, where you can be a librarian with a pension of over $230,000, or retire with a $500,000 buyout of your “sick days,” or be a convicted kid-touching felon and still receive your government pension.
A Fairness Quiz, Volunteers and Retiring at 50
With the likes of President Barack Obama, Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi and on and on ranting about paying one’s “fair share,” but are they ever asked any questions about the way things really work in America? They need to be challenged, because the false picture they paint of America is nonsense… Volunteers all over America are saving city and state governments billions of dollars – and during a recession it’s much needed and very welcome. At least, that’s what you would think. Not everyone is too happy, though… It’s not just Greece where government workers retire at age 50 – Fairfax County is a just in a long line of mini-Greeces in America. Fairfax County is a double-dippers heaven.
War on Women Continues, more Bank Bailouts and a New Mortgage Lender – the USDA
The Democrats, along with the mainstream media, continue this nonsense about the “war on women.” The new attacks are on Rush Limbaugh – even on the House floor – because of comments Limbaugh made about Georgetown Law School student Sandra Fluke (for which he has since apologized). Even President Barack Obama jumped in the mix, saying he did it for his daughters (which I guess he forgot to do when Bill Maher called Sarah Palin the “c-word.”)… Gas prices continue to go up, but isn’t that the plan Obama and Stephen Chu had all along?… Another one of Obama’s “green economy investments” goes sour – Abound Solar… Fannie Mae needs MORE bailout money, and the FHA isn’t far behind, as the bailouts continue… Another possible bailout is the USDA. Why bail out the USDA? Because the USDA is also a mortgage lender. More taxpayer money at risk because of the government.
The Dependency President and Bad Policies Resulting in Dead American
America continues down the path of deeper and deeper dependency. Contrary to those misinformed emails you keep getting, most of the money spent in DC is not for the military – it’s given to other Americans. Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, food stamps (now called SNAP), welfare and the other more than 70 means-tested welfare programs are nearly three quarters of the federal budget. According to a study by the Heritage Foundation, 67.3 million people now rely on some federal program. What’s been President Obama’s solution? To put this system on steroids – dependence on government assistance went up 23% in just his first two years in office… Government workers in the city of D.C. collected unemployment, while still employed by the city… With such massive deficits and mounting debt that’s increasing faster than the speed of light, it’s a good thing our government is focused on improving the economy by spending millions of dollars on programs that tell us not to drink soda and not to eat food like the wonderful Twinkie… One thing rarely asked by someone on the Left is “then what?” Tune in to find out the “then what?” when an illegal immigrant from Haiti was allowed to stay in America – after getting out of prison because of two felonies.
War on Women’s Health and Whitney Houston’s Significance
With President Obama and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius bossing around religious institutions and health insurance companies, Senators Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray and Kirsten Gillibrand are spearheading a movement, stating you are waging a war on women if you do not want to provide all women with “free” contraception (birth control pills, sterilizations, the morning after pills, IUDs, etc.). Meanwhile, has any one bothered to ask them about free lunches, or 1st amendment protections, this new-found shortage of contraceptives, to explain how a free lunch actually does exist or how it can be one person’s right to have control over what another person has earned… The news coverage of Whitney Houston’s death has been non-stop, but maybe the media is missing out on other important things in life… Samuel L. Jackson said he vote for President Barack Obama because Obama was black.
Bailout for Homeowners, Green Jobs and Booze Stamps for the Poor
First it was the banks and GM and Chrysler. But, now, underwater homeowners will be getting bailed out – if President Barack Obama gets his way. But what’s the real reason behind this bailout?… Another one of Obama’s “green investments” files for bankruptcy. And, his goals for green jobs training result in miserable failure… The Democrats continue to beat the “fair share”drum, with the leader of the orchestra being Obama – even though he has members of his own executive staff that owe back taxes… A bill is making its way through the House of Representatives to prevent people from using their welfare checks (debit cards) at nudie bars and other fine establishments of that sort.

Unions “Help” Working Families, Sterilization of Americans and Voter Ignorance
Imagine a job where you show up and do nothing – yet get paid $400k. Oh, and massive benefits, a bloated pension, and even a retirement annuity on top of all that. That’s the life some union members have – with taxpayers footing the bill. How, exactly, does this scam by unions help working families? What’s worse is when you see unions doing it at ground zero… What are you most afraid of? Big corporations? If so, were corporations forcefully sterilizing Americans in the 1900′s?… With how incompetent our gov’t is, you can actually get find for not buying a product that doesn’t even exist… Our Treasury Department loves to brag about any initiative where they don’t screw up. But, when the do mess up, don’t hold your breath on those press releases… The IRS wants more of your money – but not the way you think… Should everyone vote? How informed are most voters?

President Barack Obama’s dictatorial presidency continues as he makes “recess appointments” – three to the NLRB and Rob Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This follows a long line of legislative failures (Cap N Trade, the DREAM Act, Net Neutrality, Card Check, etc.) that are now being implemented by the administrative state… Wouldn’t it be great if you could take vacations on private jets and not have to pay for them? Ignoring the fact that you harp on and on about being “green” and reducing your carbon footprint? Must be nice to be Queen Michelle… Only a fool would by fuel for $16 per gallon when it’s available for less than $4 per gallon every where else – unless you’re the government. Especially when you’re the government and you can legally steal taxpayer money to massively overpay for something (from Solazyme) that you’re buying from one of your campaign donors… The idea of a “payroll tax holiday” continues – ignoring the fact that Social Security has unfunded liabilities of trillions of dollars… Only in California can you sue the manufacturer of Nutella on the grounds that they made you think Nutella was good for you. Another gift to trial attorneys, compliments of the state of California… Since they weren’t satisfied after destroying public property and costing taxpayers millions upon millions of dollars in policing/security costs, the Occupy Wall Street protesters are now suing local governments… Shocker: the Obama administration’s “green energy program” was LOADED with politics in every decision – so says the Washington Post… Electricity bills are skyrocketing – just like Obama promised us… And, a warning of the rationing to come…

Where are the jobs? I see the over $15 trillion in debt – even after all of the committees our government keeps punting to. Although, we should be in the black soon since Obama said they’ll stop buying coffee mugs on our dime. No one can waste like gov’t, they make the Housewives of Wherever look frugal… First we bailed out the banks, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, GM and Chrysler – the FHA is next. Looks like the dunces in DC can watch a movie 500 times in a row and always be surprised by the ending… California’s Attorney General, Kamala Harris, may sue Fannie and Freddie if they don’t reduce the principal for underwater CA homeowners. Does she still think the tooth ferry is real?… Oh yeah, one more bailout: the PBGC (Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation). Clever name, but it’s a gov’t program, not a “greedy” corporation… Does anything really make more sense than spending half a billion dollars on a disease that hasn’t been seen in America in 62 years? It does when a big shareholder at that company is a big Obama donor… Much the same goes for Bobby Kennedy’s kid and BrightSource which is only a good investment if you’re financially illiterate – which would be another reason why Obama risked out money…. We should pray every day and thank our benevolent govt for creating programs like the People’s Garden Grant Program – without urban gardens, society would crumble… Even Massachusetts Democrat Martha Coakley is proving that a “green economy” is a sham and it’s only green for the connected people who are able to take money from the rest of us taxpayers… Do you really think we can just raise taxes on corporations and think nothing bad will happen? ObamaCare did it on medical devices and they’re responding – Stryker will lay off 5% of its workforce. Actions have their consequences.

San Jose’s Silicon Valley isn’t the wealthiest area in America any more – now it’s the D.C. area. With the high concentration of 6-figure income federal workers and lawyers and the fact that federal employees have not only been immune in this recession but have also prospered, it’s not surprising at all… Over 100 agencies were responsible for oversight and regulation of the financial industry and many of them make over $225,000 per year in wages alone, but we still had the massive meltdown… California’s Governor, Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown, signs multiple bills, putting to rest the question of how big of a union whore he is… Chicago union leaders double and triple dipping in pensions… California keeps spending like there’s no tomorrow, but are tax receipts keeping pace?… If higher energy costs will drive people out of California, maybe “free” health care and medical clinics in Los Angeles will bring more people here. What are the odds that they’ll create any jobs?… Many states are now having welfare recipients take drug tests to prove they’re drug-free to get welfare benefits. How is it that many politicians are pro choice when it comes to abortion, but anti choice when it comes to light bulbs or a bunch of other consumer items we buy or use on a daily basis? Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky challenges our Department of Energy’s stance on light bulbs, toilets and more… We give corporations massive tax loopholes, then we complain that the corporate tax rate needs to be higher (even though it’s the second highest in the world – soon to the the highest)… Would you pay 80 cents for a product that never sells for more than a dime? No one is stupid enough to do that – with the exception of your Uncle, Sam… Another continuing resolution budget resolution passes to fund the government another three weeks… President Lyndon B. Johnson’s war on poverty has already cost us over $16 trillion, and now costs us about $1 trillion per year – all for a massive set of programs that are a complete failure. Who else would do this other than someone stupid enough to pay 80 cents for a dime?… Miami recalls their Republican, tax-increasing, government-worker-pay-raising during a recession Mayor by a landslide… And, the bank bailout panel says the new financial reform bill which supposedly ended bailouts forever actually makes sure that bailouts are guaranteed to happen again in the future.
Women Still Earning Less than Men, Brainwashing Students in Wisconsin and Increasing Gas Prices
The White House, President Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, Universities, “women’s rights” groups, etc., continue to beat the drum how women make less than men do in the workplace. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal discussed this info – from a White House report. What a sexist country we live in where women earn 75 cents for every dollar a man makes. Does the article, or the White House study, have any sense of logic or reality when they talk about numbers like this? Yet, the Democrats in Congress, along with President Obama, say there is no spending we can cut – absolutely every penny is necessary or the sky will fall. And Republicans who are supposedly fiscally conservative act as if they never knew any of this… Bankruptcy for America is a guarantee if Social Security and Medicare are not reformed… One of Obama’s and Biden’s chosen “green jobs” initiatives is Solyndra, Inc. in northern California. Other than stealing money from us to give to their cronies, they’ve chosen cronies who can’t even turn a profit or create a job with hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars now squandered for nothing. Arizona Clamps Down on Illegal Immigration, “Racist” Voter ID Laws and Government Wasting our Money
Cities in California have been using money intended for redevelopment to pay the salaries of their employees and to provide core services – everything but what the state-provided funds were supposed to be used for. How many other government programs serve no other purpose than to waste (often fraudulently) our money? How about the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program? Or Head Start? We have programs that are proven failures, deemed so by our own government that runs those programs, yet their solution is to continue to increase funding… President Obama asks businesses to start hiring again, confusing private enterprise with charities and government… Improper foreclosures may soon lead to billions of more dollars going to irresponsible borrowers, with the responsible taxpayers paying for it… Due to intentionally cumbersome collectively-bargained union rules for laying off teachers without tenure, 75 fired teachers will be hired back and paid $7.5 million for work they never performed in the time they were out of work. Former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty’s school chancellor Michelle Rhee fired bad teachers to help the schoolchildren. But, in the end, the public unions win whereas the students and taxpayers lose… Illinois wants to borrow billions to help fund unfunded pension liabilities – as if piling debt on top of debt is the solution to their problems… Senators Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) fight to get MLB to ban smokeless tobacco while Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) wants the state of Nevada to ban brothels and while citizens of San Francisco want to ban circumcisions… Arizona’s state Senate is on its way to passing more legislation to handle its illegal immigration problem… Wisconsin wants people to present ID when voting…

President Barack Obama released his 2012 Budget proposal – one which even his own Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, said puts us on an unsustainable path. What exactly is in this $3.73 trillion budget? Does it tackle Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid? How will it impact future debt levels?… As if traveling wasn’t annoying enough, the Obama Administration wants the TSA to unionize… Michelle Obama continues her crusade against obesity by promoting the benefits of breastfeeding (never mind the more than $14 trillion in debt – it’s a scarcity of breastfeeding that’s bringing the country down).
Wisconsin Battles its Public Unions and Rep. Issa Digs into all Government Friends of Angelo
The public unions of the state of Wisconsin are in a battle with their newly-elected Republican Governor, Scott Walker, over the power the public unions will have within the state. Namely, will the 300,000 public union members continue to control the state’s 5.5 million residents, or will the power actually go back to the people. As Wisconsin struggles to balance its budget, reducing the influence, power and cost of public unions is a must. But will it even happen as Democrat State Senators fled the state to prevent a required quorum for fiscal bills… A proposed bill in Arizona would have hospitals check the legal status of its patients… Representative Darrel Issa (R-CA) subpoenas the records of Countrywide to see which federal, state and local policymakers were getting sweetheart mortgage loans from the disgraced and criminal lender. Issa also wants the names of staffers and spouses and employees of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who received sweetheart deals as well. Under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership, the House failed to do its job on this front. But with Issa, over two years after the meltdown, our government is starting to truly investigate who contributed to the housing and subsequent financial meltdowns of 2008. A perfect example of the kind of people that are trying to make decisions on how all of us should live: Representative Chris Lee (R-NY), a married man, took a shirtless photo of himself to flirt with women online while claiming he was single and a lobbyist (I guess he figured a lobbyist isn’t so bad when compared to a politician)… CBO director Doug Elmendorf clearly stated that ObamaCare is a jobs-killing bill, as opposed to waht President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claim… Whitehouse.gov’s recent weekly address touts the benefits of a green economy which sound great – until you think for half a nanosecond… The IRS is yet another proven failed government program, even which all it has to do is give money to “the poor…” Why is our government involved in volunteering, in such programs as AmeriCorps… the State of Arizona and its Governor (Jan Brewer – R, of illegal immigration bill SB1070 fame) sued the federal government for not doing one of its only duties – protect the border… and, we can all rest well at night knowing that the people at barber shops and salons that shampoo your hair have licenses and were properly trained in such critical and difficult tasks as evenly distributing conditioner. Do you know how many professions in your state require licenses? You’d be shocked if you saw the list.
Gas Prices Keep Climbing, AP’s Bias and Stupidity, Sanctuary States and Cutting Federal Spending
When gas prices went up under President Bush, it was his fault. Why are the media silent now as gas prices keep climbing under Obama’s watch? The mainstream media should at least pretend not to be homers for Obama and the American left – such as, at the very least, pointing out that the Obama/Salazar drilling moratoriums aren’t going to make gas cheaper. But, this just falls in line with the bias and stupidity we get from most media outlets – some of which tell us the Senate has a Speaker… New Mexico’s new governor (Susana Martinez – R) announced that her state will no longer be a sanctuary state for illegal immigration – if you make something more enticing, more people will do it… After a bloodbath at the 2010 midterm elections, all the Republicans in the house can come up with for now are cuts amounting to less than $100 billion – in a budget that is approaching $4 trillion (over $5 trillion if you include tax expenditures). Someone let them know that it may be better than increasing spending, but it won’t make a dent in our massive deficits and debt… When she’s not planting arugula in the White House garden or telling people they’re fat, she wants DC to spend billions more on programs to get businesses to encourage volunteerism. Will America fall apart if this program goes away? One things for sure: dropping it saves billions of dollars.
ObamaCare Unconstitutional, Fannie/Freddie’s Legal Bills and Ending Teacher Tenure
A victory for liberty – senior US district judge Roger Vinson ruled ObamaCare unconstitutional. Since when can the dunces in DC force us to buy a product or service?… The gifts that keep on giving: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Not only have they cost tax payers about $150 billion in bailouts so far, we’re also on the hook for hundreds of millions of dollars for legal bills for the former execs (like Franklin Raines) who should be in prison for the books to steal money from taxpayers. The Enron guys and Bernie Madoff are kicking themselves for not doing what they did in government positions… President Obama praised Bruce Randolph School in Denver for its achievements in education – but they accomplished that by firing almost all of its teachers and breaking loose from the shackles of teachers unions. Which comes at a time where many governors are trying to end or change tenure for teachers so that our children don’t get stuck being taught by horrible teachers who have the protection (and hundreds of millions of dollars of backing) of the NEA and AFT (among other teachers unions).

Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of an America where people would be judged by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin. Ohio’s new Republican Governor, John Kasich, tried exactly that – but was slammed by so-called civil rights groups. It isn’t sexist nor racist nor intolerant etc. to select people based on their abilities to do the job at hand – something economist Walter Williams clearly understands and articulates… The federal govt is still involved in housing, and it’s NACA (Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America) is back to using the same tactics and policies that created the housing bubble and meltdown in the first place. Forcing banks to do what the govt wants didn’t work before, so don’t expect different results now… If public unions won’t budge with respect to their contracts, states need to be able to file for bankruptcy. A federal bailout of states is just about the worst idea I’ve ever heard… The Center for American Progress is a strong supporter of CLEAN contracts – but what are they and do they make any sense?

So what do you think will happen if President Barack Obama provides a pathway to citizenship for over two million illegal immigrants who came to America “young” and either completed a couple years of college or served in the military (the DREAM Act) and the Supreme Court of California’s determination that illegal immigrants in California can be charged less than half the price charged to American citizens (who live outside of California) to attend California’s public colleges? Rewarding a behavior gets you more of that behavior, and illegal immigration will drastically worsen if we continue on this path… California’s budget is in deep trouble again – it’s time to order your CD of “Speak Greek in less than 30 Days.” And, yet, University of California students violently protested proposed tuition fee hikes. With a $26 billion budget shortfall and freebies to illegal immigrants did they think the cost of their public education would decrease? The UC system may want to make basic addition and subtraction a requirement for incoming students… And, Senator Jay Rockefeller has a “bug” in him that wants to shut down Fox News and MSNBC – clearly Freedom of Speech means nothing to parts of our ruling/privileged class.

The number of federal workers making over $150k per year has doubled in Obama’s less than two years in office – just one of the benefits of being part of America’s privileged class… How long will our government waste our hard-earned tax dollars on stupid housing ideas at HUD before it realizes those ideas are all failures… The Obama Administration is being called out for the lies it spread (with the help of its ally – mainstream media) about the BP Gulf oil spill – as are its recommendations for a moratorium on drilling.

California alone has well over 10,000 retired government employees pulling in over $100,000 per year – and that does NOT include their overly-generous health benefits. This is leading to the death spiral of California (with New York, New Jersey and Illinois close behind). And where is this money that is stolen from us and given to public employees being used? Answer: political campaigning… When our government isn’t buying votes this way, they try to by the vote of retired people by sending them checks in the mail for cost of living adjustments that never happened… Considering the fact that Americans donate more than $300 billion and over 8 billion hours to charities and charitable activities, why are we constantly told that without government, society would fall apart. The truth is the polar opposite – it’s government that is making our society fall apart… Congressman Barney Frank helped bail out the banks, promised not to take money from them, but then took money anyway – and he’s another example of people who want to tell us how to live our lives?
